Day 22 - Sunrise on the Marsh

The dogs and I walk every morning just as the sun is coming up.  Sometimes the sky is clear and the colors are very subtle, until the sun appears at the horizon as an enormous ball of fire.  Other mornings there are scattered clouds and those are the mornings I see the most colorful skies.  And of course, there are totally gray mornings on occasion.

In the mountains, where we usually are, the mountains tend to get the way of the sky.  Here, it is very, very flat. Huge expanses of marsh and off in the distance a line of trees and then sky and more sky.

Gorgeous! I think it is restful for the eyes sometimes to get away from the mountains and be able to see a far-off horizon. Happy Painting...
