Another Tuesday. This makes three in a row. I'm on a roll!

Still working on the hound. I haven't had as much time to work on him as I would like. Painting is no fun if I have to rush, so that post will have to wait.

Meanwhile, here is a 10" x 8" painting that I did a couple of months ago. The photo I used for reference was from a wonderful and generous equine photographer, Juliet Harrison. Juliet has a blog called the Equine Painter's Challenge. She posts photos she has taken and encourages painters to create from them. I loved the fat little pony in this one and woman's hand on her hip and the light, especially the light. This painting also brings back memories of my days on a horse farm and my horse show experiences with my daughter. Good days. Painting this one was a true pleasure.

If you'd like to see this one in person, it is part of the Fall Celebration of Arts at the Toe River Arts Council's Gallery in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. Opening reception is Saturday, October 9th from 5pm - 8pm. It would be great to see you there!

Oh, and if you are interested in purchasing this one, please send me an email.
