Today's painting might take first place for latest finish. It was created over the last 24 hours - the sketch was done last night, the eyes were painted about 8 o'clock this morning, and the rest was finished up after 8 o'clock tonight. Not my favorite way to paint, but whatever it takes will do.
I spent a good part of the day exploring some of the mountain roads in our area. The main interest was a rock slide that occurred a few days ago when we had several days of rain in a row. Quite impressive. The rock is the size of a house. There is a house right "next door" to the rock, and I imagine that its owners are happy they didn't slide down the mountain, too.
This cute orange kitten was painted on a 6" x 6" sheet of gessoed watercolor paper with water mixable oils.
